Departing Distance

If we stay close once goodnight
kisses felt;
words from lovers exchanged as
If by departing plane the distance
to grow;
But my prayers to be spoken when
next face to face about dreams,
the journeys we take once put to bed,
about staying close enough to be
assumed as one;
Maybe then our dreams won't be so
seperate when dreaming together as one.
