Standing Together

I should have listened to all of the warnings,
But I never imagined living these mornings

Of life and despair. The world could crumble
And fall apart, but even though we might stumble
By losing our footing, we can change everything
In a moment. We can always choose to bring
Back the good parts of life and happiness.
We can never let the wind and tide carry us
Away, into the depths of darkness we may never
Truly understand. All we are getting is our forever.
