Changing Seasons
Surrounded by trees
Where the autumn leaves
Have fallen
And the colors have disappeared
Waiting for winters snow
Bone cold chills
Begin to fill the air
Stepping into your warm light
Reminds me
That this season
Will pass
Beginning anew
In the spring
Flowers bouncing back to life
That have been in slumber
With vibrant colors
Summer then will come
And the children will play
Sitting here thinking about
Those long warm days
Where the autumn leaves
Have fallen
And the colors have disappeared
Waiting for winters snow
Bone cold chills
Begin to fill the air
Stepping into your warm light
Reminds me
That this season
Will pass
Beginning anew
In the spring
Flowers bouncing back to life
That have been in slumber
With vibrant colors
Summer then will come
And the children will play
Sitting here thinking about
Those long warm days
