breathing is overrated when I'm with you

You steal my breath
my words
my thoughts
until there is nothing left
but you and the softness
of your mouth
and the electricity
of your fingers on my skin

I lose myself in your breath
and rhythm
and find myself
in the notes of your body

we are beyond words
and thoughts
and breath
all language now unspoken

I could kiss you forever
but forever isn't long enough
so I settle for the stolen moments
that belong to us alone
and pray time doesn't restart
every time I'm in your arms
