PD PART III: KISS OF THE HARLOT

She spurns death
Like a sprig of nightshade
Cloying scent
Stirring with pheromones
Travelers
Seeking out the mistress
Cruel puzzle
For cenobite pleasures
Leading me
Through a barb wire maze
Abandon
Any god who dares to tread

Awaken in a pentagram smeared with the blood
Of innocent villains lead to blackened altars
Her menstrual juices saved in canopic jars
For black days when the angels are led to slaughter

Her primeval urges
Are pure prime evil
Darken the sky on God’s own day
Gather the masses for
A ritualistic slay

Her bedchamber is haunted with the souls of the dead
Hung out to wither in winter’s twisted parade
The glorified hordes of the whore chanting her spell
Until she sweeps her doom across the streets of Pompeii

Her beauty staggers the mind
Like a miracle reforged
Sip from the gilded chalice
A taste of dementia
The kiss of the harlot

Speak in her serpent tongue
Forked with poisoned tips
Lick the wound I split for her
Tasting her venom
At last, I slowly burn

She’s a beautiful beast, the devil in the Styx
Scorching the mind with her unchaste phantom detail
The plunder of sanity causes my downfall
Dragging me, eagerly, unto my own dismal Hell

Harken, when the bells toll
Lay me in her tomb
And drape me with her spider webs
Musty in shadow
In her immortal bed

Her beauty staggers the mind
Like a miracle reforged
Sip from the gilded chalice
A taste of dementia
The kiss of the harlot

if i sleep eternally
will i wake
to partake
in her flesh?

Her beauty staggers the mind
Like a miracle reforged
Sip from the gilded chalice
A taste of dementia
The kiss of the harlot

She spurns death
Like a sprig of nightshade
Cloying scent
Stirring with pheromones
Travelers
Seeking out the mistress
Cruel puzzle
For cenobite pleasures
Leading me
Through a barb wire maze
Abandon
Any god who dares to tread
