The Note
Each character resists the charge
testimony to my helplessness
combatants in my internal strife
transferred to march into the war
if I asked for volunteers
the angels would keep them from this cause
in my chains they’re are cast to serve
it is this duty they must fulfill
the words form in ragged ranks
companies made of consonants
vowels added to give a punch
weaponized to make my point
tiny groupings of ordinance
not yet delivered for full impact
this will be addressed in short time
as cords are sent down the line
the sentences aim to harm
succinct collections all should fear
telegraphed with ill intent
malice on purpose if not by accident
the Heavens beg for mercy sent
to those who browse the gathering
perhaps the worst is over, think again
another level of pain will now commence
the paragraphs complete my work
revelation of imagined pains
documented for all to read
inescapable once eyes have seen
testimony in its full form
statement of the change to come
forgive the messenger for its use
the letters beg for your grace.

For me the dark is always hard to see through but easy to understand.

The "inside" story to this poem is that it's about a suicide note. Incredibly dark, a job that even notes should not be brought to task.
