Listen ~ To Your Voice

You're a wise lady, Flower.  You seem to realize that in order to love, one must learn to love oneself.  Striving to be different is not the way to go:

I see you fighting to be different from who you are
seeking to break away from things in yourself you hate
tormented by the world around you and all who are in it

The inner torment and anger all too often extend to others, driving them away.

stand fast in what you know about you that is good
the luv that you seek will come your way in time
cause YOU are worthy in all that you dream and desire
 
You choose to accentuate your finer qualities and not dwell on weaknesses.  Words to live by for a kind, gentle woman and fine poet.  Excellent work.

Hey Crow......wow what words you leave me.......you're right I learned a long time ago to luv myself and not fight to change cause others don't like me......it is their problem not mine.......to change for others only makes you who you are not even more so.......then you hate yourself more.......you must believe in YOU before anyone else can........thank you for such a great comment......purple luv & hugs xo :)

I detect that you are speaking to yourself in this sad write. I hope I am wrong. Always trust today and the fact that you are living it. Be appreciative of it and accept what comes along without apprehension. We only live once. I hope for the best for you, and hope not to "linger and use."

Hey Jerry....as I told you earlier this is an older write that I found and wanted to post.......I spent so many years changing for others and trying to fit in to be luved by souls who were supposed to luv me back......not betray me.......I grew up not liking me much.....I had to learn to luv me......I spent many years in fear of people casue I didn't know how to luv them or me.....I was never excepted for me so I tried to change me to be different.......thank you for your emotional response.......purple luv & hugs xo :)

Awe Duende......precious soul.......I spent my young years being told I was stupid and ugly......that I would never be anything important.......my life would never accomplish anything ........I learned to be my best friend cause at times I'm all I had.......even as an adult I've been made to be nothing.......when I first came here a soul told me I couldn't write erotica.......that I was a lousy poet......well......it made me more determined to be one......I as many luved souls that didn't luv me back but I pressed in cause I knew another would. Do me a favor.......everyone including you & me have a beautiful side within them worth luving.......I want you to look in the mirror of your soul.......close your beautiful eyes........feel it.....the luv that is deep within you.......the beauty of a soul is what's inside......embrace all that you are......then go look in the mirror on the wall and smile at your beautiful self.......cause regardless of what others say (good or bad) or how they treat you (mean or nice) its your opinion of yourself that counts......you are worthy to be luved.......look and see what we all luv in you......hope this helps......purple luv & hugs xo :)

I'm sorry to hear you went through so much pain, that people didn't tell you were worthy when you grew up and after that as well!
You're not a lousy poetess, you're a brilliant poetess... no one brings so much Love and Light to this site as you!

Embracing all of myself... I'm not quite there yet, but it will come one day! Being here... surrounded by so many beautiful souls... seeing so many 'me's' here helps tremendeously!
I even wrote a poem a bit like yours (about loving yourself) but first some painful parts need to get out :-/ (that's part of the healing process as well)

Awe Duende.......your words back to me are so very precious.......has brought a happy tear to my heart. I proved them all wrong and became more than they ever thought........in the end they saw me for who I am......put a trust in me so very sacred. I'm humbled by your words of my poetry......truly means more than I can say......I showed them too..... keep torturing them with more writes......LOL!! It's a known fact though that everyone will not like you or your writes......but there are plenty who do and I keep on for them.....the other ones will get over them selves before I post again.....maybe.......HAHA!! There are more "YOU's" than you may think.......I don't post too many sad ones but when I do......hopefully it helps a others to look in the mirror's.......to know they're not alone.......keep writing yourself.......it's good for the soul to release.......one day you will wake up and it will feel different......I promise amd I know. No more sad writes from my pen! Goodbye was the last one and in all honesty... I don't like writing sad writes, but they needed to be released! I was amazed that some women felt Because Of You and that made me feel less alone, hopefully it worked the other way around as well!

having read this I cannot say it did not inspire me it fired a volley of bursts withing I erupted with all my within I have been more of a loser more often but  my perseverance never  had i ever forgotten this world is starkly mad mainly at others it barks fluidly so that  all others refrain from them  trust to body nor kith nor kin but remain solid within I have thus come so far to begin see how many read my lovely refrain and they their stress drain is it  not enough a refrain i alone myself remain the main

at times we all forget

tears flow that cannot be lies

we all are similar at times
in emotion

which fool of man did not cry
on one or another occasion  
he must be a SOB  
born out of the genetic combination

though not as often
