"we will!"

A very sweet love poem that reminded me of one I wrote long ago in my younger days...


NO ON

I've tried to turn you on
And now I'll give it one more go
But time and time again
Your answer still is NO
I'd like to change
The situation all around
I wanna turn your answer upside-down

Blinded by love
And I can't tell which end is up
A parrot gave me a love potion
To pour into your cup
But that would be unfair
It wouldn't be true love
Instead I'll listen to
The un-caged morning dove

I've pondered this equation
For so long I'm turning gray
But that's OK
So long as I don't have to pay
A solution exists
To help love come of age
A flip of the switch
A turn of the page

as the bright moon silhouettes
our shadows dancing upon a wall
while we sacredly bond as one

Hopefully that sacred bond will last.  Excellent!
