For Us

Ennumaratio and Blazon;
how often they sway,
vessels of expression,
courting undulation.

How often passion depicts
ruby red lips,
both superior and inferior,
like rosebuds and petals,
leather and metal.
Talk of sheets,
and curling feet,
and bone-shaking moans.

But a simple cigarette,
shared in the simmering sun,
is all the intimacy,
we really need.
