DISTANCE
If I could escape
I would leave this road behind
The voice on the tape
So empty and kind
Strewn across the ground
These feelings I've had
Wherest I came around
It just drove me mad
Some say life is a puzzle
And I tend to agree
Like a dog with a muzzle
Nothing is ever free
And I am unhinged
Unraveled by distance
My heart was singed
When at first we did glance
But out with the old
For I'm not getting young
I yearn to be told ‘I love you’ for once
