the Quill^ters -a patchwork quilt of civil abstracts
it has been passed down
from generation to generation
the untold story
now lost in translation
a quilt of ancestoral tales
a keepsake of acclaimation
that tells of forgotten tribes
and erased nations
sold to the highest bidder
soul's sanctum wagered
becoming a fallen house...
see,divisive is greed's nature
the structure as feeble
as the foundation
constitutes a fraud
"free dumb"s dedeclaration
read beyond black and white
and you will find the color green
american dream? ha
there is no such thing
so we sew new seams
dreams stitched in truth
sewn by weary fingers
that never forgot there roots
branches of unity peace and love
yes happiness grows on trees
knowledge of good and bad
are encrypted on the leaves
i wonder if the fruits it bare
refers to the fruits we bare
our character, our virtues
our being spiritually aware
the moral fibers that
connects us to the Creator
that also connects us to one another
and to everything in nature
self evident proof
in the brilliant design
embroidered in hearts
to free the mind
and blanket the young
in warmth and protection
each patch a piece of history
to teach a valuable lesson
ripped and torn from rugged rags
and soul(soles) of worn out shoes
that marched to the beat of drums
any path that they choose
crushing hate's weeds underfoot
stomping out a trail
that extend deeper,farther
than tracks of any rail
our fabric has been pricked
to be humbled instead of feeble
now thread must be carefully guided
thru the eye of a needle
it is up to us the Quill>ters
to piece together our legacy
we are weavers of wisdom and words
the fabric is each verse of poetry
