Giving Head

 Life is a fight and sometimes with ease the head drops
Sometimes with equal ease it comes back up smiling
Sometimes with ease it stays down a constant frown
Luckily, so far, it has, with effort come back up
It takes effort, it takes force and done mostly for others
Pain and discomfort lengthens the day and night
When the head droops it is considering the future
The head is not being idle despite the accusations
Others love to pontificate, in the main, when they
Lack knowledge of you and see no need for empathy
It is one of life’s conundrums that head position
Is of great importance, at least for everyone else
When you’re on your own, head position is unimportant
Your quite happy head drooping, or head to the side
Head lounging back as you relax on a soft comfy sofa
You are thinking your thought, some happy, some sad
Why is that the business of a myriad of nosy bastards?
Why do we feel the need to adjust in the presence of others?
A head down does not necessarily mean anything negative
A head up does not necessarily mean anything positive
Head up and smiling might just be pretence
Head down and frowning might be a rouse
Wouldn’t it be refreshing not to have to pretend?
Wouldn’t it be enlightening for once to be honest?
They ask, “Why the long face?”
You respond “Fuck off and leave me alone.”
They say, “Why do you look so sad?”
You reply, “Because you’re here being a dick.”
If the people around you genuinely know and care about you
They will get your moods and empathize
Anyone else is just a nosy bastard
And the only adjustment you should make
In the positioning of your head is to pull it back
When in range and headbut the fucker
