Hand Around My Heart
There's a hand wrapped around my heart
Always there, always waiting
Squeezing, embracing
Suffocating
I scratch and scratch but it just won't go
This pain inside my heart is wrenching
My insides twisting and clenching
It bubbles inside of me, reaching, pulling
No matter how far I go, it will always stay
Doubts and insanity creep in my mind
The blade is calling to me, whispering to me
No! I won't fall victim to your sweet words
At least that's what I want to say
But your words calm the hand around my heart
The hand loosening, my breathing slows
Euphoria grows, and calms my aching soul
