Hallucinogens and Broken Telescopes
and maybe all that we are,
is a fragment of this fallen star.
dropped from the highest sight...
both of us lost and forgotten somewhere along this fight.
I'd give you all of my sparkle and shine,
although its dull, this shade of mine...
I'd rather give it to you,
I'll fade into a treacherous dark hue.
Words and music pierce my bland skin,
as I lay on the ground, grass barrier thin.
Your weak heart, borrowed charisma and charm,
the filthy needle penetrating my arm.
Who needs drugs when we've got our lustful love,
breathing in the toxic fumes, a starry trail leading above.
This nine month trip and we've finally reached land,
every emotion being depicted by my hand.
Ink spilling into the laugh lines of my brain...
how much longer can i try to erase the pain.
I loved you so much more when you didn't love me,
I just wanted us both to be happy,
but maybe all that we are...
is a fragment of this unwanted, fallen star.
