Will it happen
again
as it did before
when the dark ages roard

when self inflicted ignorance
fear and greed
covered the land
of broken dreams
where the people moved back
into wooden shacks
where the children play
hide and seek
with the pigs and rats
where they sleep
where religion
once again
murders those
who refuse to bend
to things
that make no sense
