THe Lonely Waiting

A lonely morning filled with thoughts
Of women who’ve come and gone away
Different reasons or different lies
They add up to the same thing

Another lonely hearted day ahead
Filled with memories of a lovers touch
As rain falls against my window
And fills me with melancholy

Sometimes on a day like this I will sit alone
And remember times when I was not
And frown that sad frown that comes to you
When the loneliness is all you can feel

But the rain will pass
And that feeling will go with it
The sun will shine so brightly
That a smile will play on my lips

As I wait for that next kiss
