Zodiac Tutorial and why your Zodiac sign is probably something else

When we stare up at
a starry night,
especially since we don't have cable,
amazing pictures of animals
and people, can, and have been,
imagined.

Just fill in the dots
Star dots, that is

Since we are ancestors without cable,
Our minds are soaked in the mythical legends of the day,
we see some of these mytho-characters in the heavens above.

A group of star dots, are  called a "Constellation"

The night sky, is crowded with 88,
eighty eight constellations, that over
the centuries, have been seen, and shared,
and agreed upon to be up there in the heavens...

Yeah, the ancestors beat you to it.
That does not stop us,
with the desire,
to go lay under the starry night,
far away from city lights,
and make love to the heavens
and imagine our own

Now then,
our ancestors gave
some special attention
to the sun, or rather,
what constellation was getting a visit
by the sun.

Imagine that we can see the constellations
during the sunny day,
just as we can see them at night.

The sun will appear to point to,
or 'sit with' a certain constellation for
a number of days,
before slowly sliding over to
pay a visit to another constellation,
as we now know, the earth slowly rotates around the sun,
once a year.

It is going to be hard to actually see
the starry constellations that the sun sits with,
due to the sun being so bright.
but using their powers of thinking,
our ancestors were able to deduce which constellation
was being covered up or visited by the sun,
as the various days of the year pass by

Out of the 88 constellations in the heavens,
There are 13 constellations
that do get such a visit by the sun,
and these  became known as
the "Circle of little animals",
which is what the word the Zodiac means,
in its origins from Greek and Latin.

Now this was all discovered by
the Egyptians, and perfected by
the Babylonians,

...The Babylonians...

Love that word, yes some 2500 years ago,
discovered and written down by the....

Well, five hundred years go by,
we get the Romans,
we get Christianity,
and well,
13 is just such a troublesome number, soo...
lets just focus on, well 12 of them.

12 is such a GREAT number.  Lets pick
12 months for the year. Lets choose
12 hours in a day, and lets shoe horn our zodiac into...
12 signs for the Zodiac.

I must concede,
the moon does pretty much spin around the earth
12 times per year,
so our ancestors  may have given honor
to the number 12
due to the moon.

The New and Improved
Zodiac system,
with only twelve zodiacs,
Was studied and written down
2000 years ago.

Imagine setting your digital alarm clock,
and then letting it tick, for , uh, say 2000 years.

Do you think it will still tell the right hour and minute?

The same thing has happened to the dates
that got written down 2000 years ago for the Zodiac.

Some various forces,called " Precession",
something related to when you spin a top,
as it slows, it starts to get a wobble to its spin...
the end result, is, after all that time,
the old Zodiac dates are a wee bit off from
what the Sun actually points to , in today's times.

Not to worry,
We have been saved by the British
well, a British website, which
will let you scroll thru the heavens,
see the star dots of light,
the mythical figures our ancestors saw,
and the current dates that the sun will
be pointing to that constellation,
which Will be YOUR actual zodiac sign.

Now, mind you,
this website re-instates the 13th forgotten zodiac sign,
given to us by the ...Babylonians...
so you just might end up with
a new sign you haven't heard of before.
