SALIGIA : THE WHORE OF BABYLON

‘Libido of the serpent and wrath she had lent
She ardently strode through her laments
To the arbour whence orchids she kept
Pale tentacles gathered on grounds she slept
Chords of the night were carnal and grave
Wherein her inebriety would spite austerity
The dew felt ever so cold on her cheeks
When salvation couldn’t set her free’

Thou know just who I am, your mask betrays you
Don’t you claim that there is distance
For in your despair, my tender flame comforts you
I speaketh all truth

Cutting the silence like a knife
Your euphoria, my hands are tied
It is of your own accord
We dance upon what night obscures

Chase me to morrow, enticing the umbra
Raven feathers upon the snow
You thought you were empty but burden remains
I won’t refrain
In the dark, your soul is winnowing
Isabelline

Thou know me by my name, from me light shan’t elude
In love, your fragility feeds my abhorrence
And when you’re lost, these broken wings can shelter you
I speaketh all truth

Sapphire, glittering in the mist
Hunger in these eyes that would too soon dim
Ifsoever the rain would wash clean
You would see me by my apathy

Drink to your sorrow, oscillate in lust
Feel miasmic bliss tracing your bust
Sculpting the weakness now pierced through your frame
I won’t refrain
In the dark, your soul is winnowing
Isabelline

Like a thorn in my eternal pride
The dust that smothers forgotten time
Wherein I sit, my throne of contempt
I beckon thee, to worship me

‘Gleamed in the night like dying fire
Mortuary and with gaunt atmosphere
So beckoned forth a dull despair
On the hopes of those who followed her
But a tress of oily raven hair lain
In a pool bereaved of the moon
All hearts stricken by dawn’s desire
In a tryst with the morning star’
