Second Chance Dance
Day two
and I finally worked up the nerve to seek
that second chance dance;
because at first viewing... shoot - I was afraid of her
That she moved too good for me
I mean, just - look at her!
All light dred and flowy, not showy
Just strong, slim and slow
Ooohhhhh, hoooo - and tight
Accurate
Stride immaculate
And delicate
...though she didn't seem
to be into that sort of life
I mean - I might
be into her delicacy
If she would let me
If I had the courage to ask
And I did... for that dance
Her arms around me and holding
She was into it - her body told me
And sang to me
And it was nice
The night of that first second chance dance
