Image for the poem OCTOBER

OCTOBER

Take me by the hand
As time drains the sand
Tell me how you are
Help me to the car

Into the mirror I stare, giving life to my fears
I cannot remember all the years
One more October I wait for the time now ahead
Ill with the days that I won’t be forgotten
Talk with me now as I tire of walking

Set your spirit free
Be what I can’t be
This is far enough
I am breathing blood

Into the mirror I stare, giving life to my fears
I cannot remember all the years
One more October I wait for the time now ahead
Ill with the days that I won’t be forgotten
Talk with me now as I tire of walking

Shades of black I fill
Call it what you will
Fever heats my skin
There is heart within

Into the mirror I stare, giving life to my fears
I cannot remember all the years
One more October I wait for the time now ahead
Ill with the days that I won’t be forgotten
Talk with me now as I tire of walking

All my dreams come true
One more day with you
Now I’ll say goodbye
Leaving with a sigh
