CLOUDY

Every cloud has a silver lining?
That’s not silver; it’s just grey
And grey is dull, dim and boring
It’s lifeless and lacklustre
It’s flat, matt, drab and down
Grey is the colour of the sad, the blue
The colour of the depressed and dejected
All those downtrodden and down at heal
Those dispirited, depressed and down hearted
For the dreary, the dismal and the lamentable
Grey spreads melancholy, moroseness and sadness
A pathetic, dreary, sorrowful, tear jerking colour
It’s the colour of near death and after death
It coats all the clouds all the way to my horizon
I can see no silver, no sheen, nothing to cheer
You only see it as silver because you are delusional
I know and see the truth
The end is nigh;
It always is
Hope is pointless
Confidence is futile
It’s time to de-motivate or
You can smile like a fool for now
You won’t be smiling for long
The clouds are grey
The earth is grey
Humanity is grey
You are grey
Soon to be blue
When you finally wake up
And smell what you are shovelling
Happy trails my foolish chum
I have learned to laugh
At the greyness and banality
Of this human existence
Learn this too
Or go under
Drowned in the greyness
That surrounds you
