Beautiful October

 
It can take anywhere from 30 to 100,000 years
for the light rays to travel from the center reaching the surface of earth,
where it took another 8 minutes on the tail-end of the journey
just to reach the leaf of a tree; but the tree don’t like to figure physics.
 
I wonder what it has in common with us
the sunshine that warms my skin today started its journey during
the last ice age, and it was a beautiful October.
