5: 60:  Birds Of Prey

Excerpt 60 from Journal 5: 'Reaching My True Love'
-From 'Journals To My True Love, Part 2'

My Love, the parent bird of prey sees the helpless
blind and chirping baby bird and wants to devour it
at times for it is so much trouble to tend and raise and the
parent bird is to predatory to have any full compassion
for the needy hatchling... It tires in the difficulty of watching
its struggle... It also envies it so in knowing it has such a
long future ahead compared to the parent... It feels
frustration in all it sees that the baby is completely
blind to yet it simply is unable to pity it for it is so supple
and featherless and sweet even with its black bulging,
unfocused eyes which scan constantly seeing merely
nothing clearly... The incessant chirping and fervent
gulping for food is so lowly and primitive to the
beautiously feathered adult bird with its piercing
eyesight of intuition and majestic echoing call...
There is just too much of a generation gap for the two
to form a bond so they are as ships passing in the night...
The parent bird is so acutely aware of the baby but the
baby is oblivious to the parent... By the time the babys
eyes develop the parent bird will have grown tired and
aged in the long strife period of tending and the baby
will be then strong enough to devour the ragged parent
who will not even put up a fight...  The parent bird knows
this all along and yet still tends the meek infant with the
utmost care for it has nothing else to live for for it is
hard wired to nurture its own, not any other creature
and it in turn only its own can turn on its and finish its
weary life by leaving it to die of loneliness after it has
destroyed the nest that was built one painstaking branch
at a time with its captive growth and development and
trial flights above it during which time the parent kept its
distance so as not to be a crutch to the emerging adult
and only visited so minimally and briefly when it was
completely necessary and the adult endured this constant
delegation and weighing of risks to produce the best possible
outcome for the baby even in a total lack of reciprocation
towards the adult... The adult calls upon its instincts
constantly in this process and remembers its own period
of nurturing... It relives its mistakes in seeing the baby
stumble and barely escape a dire fall from the nest as
it tests its newly grown wings... It toils over and it holds
on against all odds that the baby will not fall as the adult
bird did not and survive as well in the same process and
this one concrete known becomes everything that will
ensure the cycle will continue and the adult bird will not
be discouraged even as it fears its own young as becoming
bigger and stronger and more devastating in potential each
day as its exacting skills are honed in practice and drive
for the adult bird know that to hunt and feed on its own
the baby must grow feathers of armour to protect it in
the most chafing winds and that it must continue to develop
its indiscriminatory predatory nature that will simply have no
mercy for its prey when it is hungry and no hesitation in
gleaning sustenance from it... Its eyesight must develop in
this long gradual growth period as well and as it comes to
see its own parent will only see a stranger that it has no
compassion for for this is all necessary and the parent bird
is acutely aware of it all even though the fledgling bird
remains oblivious and will simply never appreciate all it has
done for it until many years later when the parent is gone
and the nest forgotten..  In the lofty heights of the treetops
the two birds will see each other one day from a safe distance
but the quick gaze of recognition will have to be enough to
reinforce the cycle of death and rebirth that is so necessary
at this very top of the intuitive chain of earthly existence with
its oscillating cycles that stretch creation to the verge of a
breaking point where only a critical point of release prevents
the total permanent repulsion of two beings which are
intrinsically connected in source and hearken from the
same place where they originated in brotherhood and
solidarity and this long-sighted gaze of the birds makes this
reuniting and refolding possible and ensures the continuation
of its lighted plan for earths salvation through the survival
of the most aggressive of natures creatures whom thrive in
only the highest untrodden and unreachable places...
My Love, know that I see you there even in the most
turbulent and chafing winds and even in my own increasing
indifference of you and vice versa for my instincts are strong
and stalwart to see the continuation of our cycle that has
importance in Gods world for I love him and strive to serve
him above myself and so do I you...
