Image for the poem Come and die with me

Come and die with me

Sit for hours staring at nothing
Soul slowly withering away
The world tearing at my flesh
Suffering outweighing all the beauty
Dust and ash defining my punitive nature
Mind haunted by hellhounds, gypsies and necromancers
Darkness enveloping my shredded heart
The purpose of my existence has spiraled into curating sadness as art
Burning incense, looking back at my footsteps, nothing makes sense, some solace in this blunt
Flooded with struggles, the devil's voice mumbles "No Noah to build you an ark?"
Death is the only card left
Serpents circling around my waist like a belt
Demons whispering in my ears
Preying on my deepest fears
"Stop writing these notes on your pad
Tie this sailor's knot around your neck and be dead"
wandering about trying to find my purpose
Come and die with me so we can live

Should I die to live?
