CEPHALENSIS

All your books are now stagnant
Collecting dust
And this wall left half painted
The color’s wrong
Routine has you strung along
Sorry I can’t help
Don’t tell me you don’t belong
Please stop staring

Take me back to...

When it was not so hard to see
You smothered me
So lovingly
When you have come up for air
Just tell me where
I’ll meet you there

So what did you do today?
Me, I checked the news
And you could meet my family
Before the series finale
Just maybe I should fix the faucet
Drips from the closet
I’m sorry it’s so damp in here
Only one window, dear

Take me back to...

When you weren’t so cold at heart
I turned the heat on
You slept so long
When fights, we could laugh it off
The lightbulb sun
I’ve just begun

I guess you feel it now
You’re screaming so loud
Legs are open wide
When you subside

Take me back to when...
