Just Words On a Page
They are not real
You know
And neither am I
We are just
Words on a page
Pretty words
That I weave
Into fairytales
And make believe
Words that I hear
Words that I see
Words from a old
Blues song
I'm not your blue
Sky anymore
Words I have read
I never was a real thing
Did you think me so?
I am a fake, a fraud
Nothing about me
Is real
Nothing I write
Is true
Well just a little truth
A small glimpse
Into the nothing
That I am
I made myself up
One day I 'm old
The next day I'm young
One day I'm sad
The next day I'm in love
None of it is real
Just fancies and fairytales
I am no body just
Make believe
No heart to break
No eyes to weep
No voice to speak
Just words
On a page
You know
And neither am I
We are just
Words on a page
Pretty words
That I weave
Into fairytales
And make believe
Words that I hear
Words that I see
Words from a old
Blues song
I'm not your blue
Sky anymore
Words I have read
I never was a real thing
Did you think me so?
I am a fake, a fraud
Nothing about me

One day I'm sad
The next day I'm in love
None of it is real
Just fancies and fairytales
I am no body just
Make believe
No heart to break
No eyes to weep
No voice to speak
Just words
