FROM THE FAÇADE TO THE VOID, UBIQUITOUS

Something broke inside
But you’d never really know
Black holes in my eyes
Colder than December snow
Morals are common plague
I bore of the charade
When pushing against the boulder
It will return with greater violence

The mind sinew that you drug, erase
Blistering the thoughts that are foreign
Staring into the diamonds, ever pure
But impossible to break
Cold wafts around, bleak scenes for a feint
Peering past the rain outside
Beclouded and halcyon was this day

Attraction of the physical
Satyriasis, with absinthe tongue
One night to feed
And then I leave

In stillness I make my home
In darkness I feel at peace
Your company is disease
And you don’t interest me

In shadow caressed the light, time is abstract
And dread comes with the rays of sun
You are the carrion to my aching need
I will swallow you, avail your weakness
And you would let me

And for one lingering moment, you thought you’d captured me
But the façade is too embedded within the core
The mask that will never slip, you see what I want you to see
And there is nothing that you can do anymore

I am unfettered by remorse
And I dream of death
A jet crown that burns in the light
The ubiquitous void
Inside
And outside
The flesh is pale, hands cold
Gripping for control

I care not of what sleeps within
I care not of virtue or sin
I don’t fight the demons

I’ve tried to love
But I cannot
They get too close
And then they
