FORMALDEHYDE

There's a churning heat
Mind lobotomy
Give in to the need
Like a new routine
Cigar odour blind
Pushing deep to find
As I draw a line
Innocence was mine

Sometimes I feel that I’m losing days
Clinging to the sun that has looked away

Pulsing deeper within
I’ll be there until the last
You reach for the curtain
Breathe onto the glass
Then we can take a drive
I’ll be the passenger
You’ve never felt alive
What are you sweating for?

Sometimes I feel that I’m losing days
Clinging to the sun that has looked away
I think that I can set you free
Just make this next left for me

I’d love for you to meet my friends
They work all hours and
Don’t pretend
Pull off the road, we’re finally here
You can have the flask
I’ll just have beer
Now I find that it is getting late
Your alertness
It starts to fade
I told you I don’t disappoint
For soon your family
You will join
