AHDISTUS

As warmth of Summer gives way
I unfurl neath the trees
Caught in a moment of dismay
Dreaming whilst awake
To be the last reflection
Ghost behind the mist
I've dreamt of you in solitude

Cold fingers touched her neck
Dark signals instilling despair
Both are beneath pale clouds
Death himself and the widow

I am an abomination
Never meant to be
Somber denegation
Deluded trust in me
Come inside with me
You'll never leave
Staring down the hall
Face so serene
Flourishing when petals fall
 And dying with Spring

She gave her pain a cold shoulder
Left all memories to gather dust

Dropped her lust for love
Disposed of all her guilt
Her heart is still in need
Her eyes are withering
Gazing through the walls
As if she knew

The sky breathes new light
In the throes of Winter
As I wait for you to see me there
Always there, I alone

A drop of blood
Fill the void with tears
Let it all go
Let me go now
Deliver me from your heart
And crawl back to the sun

In a moment of anguish
She came back into the room
Stared me in the eye
Kissed me goodbye
