My mind's not capable,
Excitement inescapable;
You've got me all distracted
While your words all refracted
Truths that I am learning
'Bout what love really means.
Time to eat some beans
Cause I'm tired of just surviving;
Always striving, never thriving.
I'm in need of some nutrition;
I choose you as my physician.
Your words are my healing,
To you I am revealing
All the truths that I have hidden.
To most they are unbidden.
I feel they're safe with you,
Perhaps that trust's undue;
But I need you to be real
So I can relearn how to feel.
I accept you as you are,
With every single scar.
Share yourself with me
When you're ready to be free!
When you're done hesitating
I'll be right here waiting...

Wanting not to be presumptuous.......actually
don't know what to say.
Rhyming poems can often tend toward awkwardness, but then again,
no one of us actually IS what we think we are, & by the same token, none of
us is 'truly' what we appear to others to be, but both situations overload us
with all types of expectations of what 'truth' is supposed to 'be'....we're both 'conditioned' & 'traditioned' to be that way, but it is at the root of pretty much all the unnecessary suffering we cause to others & self.
But....me?....i'm just a braindamaged old babbler who's been alone too long during this great new century of ours.
