A Glimpse Within - Part 2

The serene sea is a patient anomaly,
so serene I fear there are things unsaid.
The night bitter black when moon hides,
I sense an oppressing evil attributed

to dreams.

I hunker down on the sharp rock jetty
sensing what I cannot comprehend.
In my intimate séance a flutter of gulls'
wings, a pure tribute to Poe's Raven.

Eyes of fire.

The night's gloom is darkly palatable;
the grist for evil lies beyond truth.
Notwithstanding planet's destructive
abilities, homo sapiens has priority and

reasons to kill.

Opening my eyes removes perspective
of self examination; artificial blood
blazing across my forehead is corporal.
Why do I think of woman with

ovulating embrace.

Why men seek out their weaknesses,
and back themselves into savage traps,
when the toughness of man can profit;
but sits alone, unused and discarded?

Man up.

I read once that the Beast will come
from the sea. In the Bible the sea
means the body of politics. I'm starting
to wonder if maybe that isn't true.

Look around.

Solitude. The moon has left for good.
I'm saddened. Can the night's shroud
cause my misery to fade into naught?
The pull of the undercurrent of thought.

Tugs at me.

Sitting here, alone, my thoughts free,
nostalgia should come a-knocking
remembering all the foul deeds once
was mine. Yet I only look to the now.

Past annulled..
