Lol, I'm a meddler, it's a bad habit I've been working on breaking, some days are less successful than others... People only hear what they want/are ready to hear and most of us are perpetually unprepared for criticism, no matter how constructive it might be.

How frustrating for you. You want to help this person but they are beyond reach in that way.
