I am choking on the taste of the dead
And haunted by the whispers in my head
Way too many ghosts
Inhabit the host
I cannot appease the demons who scream
Trapped inside this enigmatical dream
All of the cuts
All of the burns
All of the torture
I知 burdened by the desire
To be one with fire
All of the time
All of the tears
All of the laughter
I知 burdened by the desire
To be one with fire
My trail of corpses seems but rather sad
Or maybe impressive and I知 just mad
I wade through the blood
Just to get to God
And I push my way through the rot and grime
To sort through the deceased for all of time
And
All of the cuts
All of the burns
All of the torture
I知 burdened by the desire
To be one with fire
All of the time
All of the tears
All of the slaughter
I知 burdened by the desire
To be one with fire
I hear the call
Echo the fall
As I succumb
To my demons
That crawl down the hall
The spectre in the vortex
Of this tormented cortex
You crumble against the rage that I feel
Cannot tell between fantasy and real
I will sacrifice
The truth for the lies
I stand, waiting, with shallow bated breath
Just one more fell step from death
But

Thank you, Devil-lyn. I currently have like ten partially written poems in my phone that I work on during my lunch break. I figured I would try to finish a few and this is one of them. Glad you liked it.

I feel that poetry should be open interpretation. But on a personal level I would say yes. Thank you!
