Numbered Days

My days may be numbered, death may be near,
I'm old enough to die, but not just yet,
But I’m not through raising hell gimme wine.

Yes, the old world can chase away good cheer,
I plan to linger and increase my debt,
My days may be numbered, death may be near.

I'll file Heavenly bankruptcy to clear,
Death has lost its potency, it's no threat,0
But I’m not through raising hell gimme wine.

I'm poised at the gates of death's new frontier,
But I'll pass for awhile without regret,
My days may be numbered, death may be near.

When the time comes I think I'll volunteer,
But there's no cause to worry and to sweat,
But I’m not through raising hell gimme wine.

But if you should hear I'm gone shed no tear,
I'm brawling with Satan; God's next, you bet.
My days may be numbered, death may be near,
But I’m not through raising hell gimme wine.
