I live on a bed of ashes and lilacs
Moonbeams dripping from my beard
Summer kissing at my dimpled cheek
Staring deeply into my soul
Because she knows….
I’ve searched the chirping indigo sky
Reaching for a falling star
Seeking sleepily behind hazy eyes
I’ve just gotta get by
Until I learn to fly
And finally live my life
Before I die.
