I Am Done Saving You

I always used to be the one
To come and save you,
But I cannot do that anymore.
As much as I want to be your
Savior and white horse who
Comes in, I cannot continue
To put you before myself.
I wish that you would be able
To see that I need saving too.
If you cannot let me know that
I am your princess then
I cannot recognize you as
My prince. If you cannot write me
Poetry like I do for you, then
You are not the one for me.
If you cannot put me before
You then you are not worth it.
If you do not care about me as
Much as I care about you
Then why are we doing this?
I deserve more than flowers
And hand holding. I deserve
More than honesty and trust.
I deserve more than promises.
I deserve more than cancelled plans.
Don't you think I deserve it all?
