What am I but a shade
Wrapped 'round eternal flame
Shrouded in the darkness
Entwined within my soul?
As I stare from abysmal eyes
Since I am but a shade
Damned with infinite shame
I'll succumb to madness
That is within my soul
What have I become
A voice from beyond the veil?
Take me to the threshold
And deliver me to my Hell
Shall I speak of the grave
While entombed with the slain?
Hallowed with my sadness
To sleep with lasting cold
As I stare from abysmal eyes
One more heartbeat, I crave
To suffer for the fray
But still writhe in blackness
Exist in pain untold
What have I become
A voice from beyond the veil?
Take me to the threshold
And deliver me to my Hell
