"Progressive Living"

I've had my moments and my hours
of ignorance and hardness; the times
when like a ranting and spoiled child
I acted self indulgent and cold and
heartless

It's taken me a while to learn and to
grow up; life has dealt with me, and
also the Lord Himself, and at times
the loss of things that really meant
something and mattered in such
profound and loving ways

But, if you can trust me to walk
with the Lord and to Pray, then
we can make it and so much
more than we could ever
think or imagine be

Because although this world is
unsure and it seems like it all
and everything around us is
crashing, I know what it is to
have that Peace that more
than all of our understanding
is surpassing, giving us more
comfort that is rest assuring

So, just take my hand and I'll
take His; my mind is set on
the things above, where all
of these dissolving things
lose their power to destroy
us, and are only a dissipating
mist

Whereas in areas where I at
one time struggled so and
was weak, I'm now overcoming
and gaining so much more
knowledge than ever before
and strength

So, with the understanding that
I've from Him been given, I am
Comforted and therein I'll also
give unto you Comfort so that
you'll be strong and also be
able to carry on and to tarry
long and endure these afflictions
that buffet us so very strongly

Because in our Patience we keep
possession of our souls; and in
the Patience that within us is
created through Faithful and
Vigilant Endurance we will
all things Overcome
