Real Man

I will never know you
tasting your soul
seeing you lusting
though never touching
sadly when you've reached in
I've run away
a scared little girl
intense is your passion
fearing the heat
when you approach
I'm guilty of feasting
without giving anything
your ferocity frightens me
your gentleness make me tremble
see I'm not beautiful
I never wanted you to know that
reading you I realize I'm self centered
your poetry stings with revelations
soul bared on the page I weep for the truth
intellectual man of my fantasy
you have a real heart
that I've handled callously
I've trespassed in a sacred place
leaving my dirty footprints
taking without ever giving back
I see the real you
while I cower in the shadows
fearing what you will see in me
