Dancing Upon Waves
darkness tonight seems different
how my heart is fluttering wildly
as it beats rapidly from thoughts of you
sound of thunder in a distance
reminds me of your passionate voice
strong and commanding but so sensual
flash of lightning thru the window pane
shadows awaking my imagination
twirling across the waves into your hug
seeing our silohettes dancing against the moon
lips embraced in a sweet luving kiss
your fingertips outlining the roundness of my breasts
a loud crack of thunder shakes my mind back into reality
next streak of lightning my vision of us is gone
but you ~ you were standing there with only a smile

An ecstatic dream Flower, beautifully written with your usual inspired imagery and full heart. I just hope the vision or dream becomes a reality. A solid possibility since your love's standing there, smiling when you wake up. Maybe he'll ask you for the next dance!

Hey Crow......I used to fear storms......but now I find myself imagining thru them......really keeps me calm......it would be awesome if this was reality one day......we would dance upon the ocean all night.....thank you for sweet words.....purple smiles & hugs xo :)

beautifully penned - it gave me a real sense of sadness but then I tend to read strange things into other's work - Being a cripple the one thing I miss the most is my ability to dance, even more than walking - life is so strange.
But anyway I loved this poem and it's vivid imagery it really affected me today :-)
