wishing hopelessly to redact

the panoply was in cajole
enterprising to the core
recollecting artful score
rooted in a wistful plane
heedful to a flagrant game
tailor-made to only flout
not in protest but in doubt
railing with rebuked power
tantalized the method dour
hoarse in headlong hubris
pertinacious the blithe decree
fiendish fretful earthen mire
constant wearisome to tire
all was forsaken to impress
taken the oracle with duress
glamorized in cramped success
crackpot castaway in heathen dress
the feeble-minded to regress
all that came in frank distress
curt in cold pretentiousness
salubrious unmeritoriousness
weighty and with implicit shame
connoted with insignificant blame
was the pretext to remind
perpetually litigious in kind
checkmated by fortuitous ford it
