Silence I Can Hear You

I sit in a circle of candles.
Only they can hear me.
My prayers, my songs.
My pleas and hopes for a life I can be proud of
I have broken through the veil
I am unsealed to unseen forces
They confide in me.
I sit in a circle of candles
And listen to the stories of silence
The songs of the unseen and unheard
Life found in morbidity of nothing
How quaint
Death is found in the places where life is most evident
I sit in this circle and listen to the beauty of silence
Death flees me
For I welcome his stories too
And silence's stories
And my stories
Fade with the eternal and time
And I become One
I sit in the circle of candles
And dance and hold hands with silence
And when I leave the circle
I shall leave silence
And come back to the noise
But in the noise, in that Death
I shall remember the life I gained
from sitting in the circle of candles
and listening to silence
