My house and yours are not the same.
It is odd
with so
many points
of entry
into the
human mind
(where it all
goes down)
through the
eyes ears
the touch
and so
many parts
of flesh;
it is odd
then that
we live
so very
distantly
and so
unentered
into each
other,
is it
not?

Good ruminations, Kissed One. I oft wonder about the inter-connectedness (or lack thereof) myself at times.

Not very poetic I'm sorry but I was suddenly struck by the separateness of people and needed to say something. I should check out Baxter because it became quite a theme for him...

Beautiful poem! The structure really gave it a unique feeling.
It really gives some food for thought...

Thank you. There is safety in distance is one thought that returns again and again, but even so... it's a lot of distance.

Maybe we like to compartmentalise ourselves like the Titanic (heavily compartmentalised that one, not that it helped any)
