Blue Skin

I see her dancing in the moonlight
The pale silver light shimmers on her dress
What a pretty swaying, white dress
Her skin several shades of blue
I watched her through the window
Her tears highlighted by the moon
I tried to turn away from her
The beautiful blue skinned child
Her long brown hair flowed in the wind
That battered against the house
She reached out to me, her eyes pleading
Begging me to come to her
To dance with her for eternity
I watched her dance from inside the house
The house no longer my home
I longed to run to her, but my legs
Simply could not move an inch
My eyes could not look away
As I watched her in the wind
She waved to me, her dress blown tight
And we began to cry for deep down
We both knew I would never see her again
She was the remaining childish nature in me
And she was off to join her sisters
The shattered pieces of me
