Angel of Mercy
Her hand is reassuring
Lightly placed to calm his fears
She checks his vitals and high pressure
And ascertains the pain
Right around five on the accepted scale
Her hand is soothing
Reducing persistent ache to two
Her strategy is distraction
Stroking him to a full ten
Top score on the erotic scale
The proof dripping from framed diplomas
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
They leave the doctor far behind
That offer of surgery rejected
The angel of mercy's all that's needed
And the paradise that she calls home.
