My heart's in your hand

As your lips
so perfect and soft
meet mine
I fall deeper into your grasp.
Eyes flutter closed
I marvel at your warmth
and the way your arms wrap around me
as I fall deeper into your world.
You're captivating
and I know
you're dangerous
but I just can't help it.
You've got my heart in your hand
and I just hope
that you don't squeeze too hard
because I guarantee
that if you do
I still won't be able to bring myself
to leave.

I would take your advice if this was true. Sadly I do not understand romance on a personal level. Only what I read and see in the world around me. I suppose I fear the heartache if I were to enter such a world.

It is only a matter of time until you do embark on a relationship. I don't know of many that would avoid such a quest.

We as humans are kind of made to be with somebody, or eventually desire to be with somebody. It is natural after all. We are social beings or are supposed to be. Even if we have or had some bad experience(s) in the past, it shouldn't stop us from seeking or trying to seek a better suited person eventually. The mistakes we make in life/relationships are how we learn to find out what we really do want from it .
