You praise me in songs and stories and speeches,
but your words ring hollow
You proclaim your everlasting love for me,
but you cheat me for another
You say you aspire to live in me,
but you don´t really mean it
You seek to possess me,
but you know that can never be,
for to have me is to have nothing
I am a word for nothing left to lose,
no obligations, no possessions,
no status, no personal ties
So you say you just want a part of me,
but I´m not one for negotiations,
you will have all of me or none at all
So please stop using my name in vain,
be true to your hearts desires
Look in the mirror and admit
you want nothing to do with me
I am freedom and you are pissing me off
