I found the meaning of life
In the graveyard
I sought the birth of death
In the graveyard

Castings of season’s necromancy
When she came upon flights of fancy
Lovers craven ‘neath flocks of ravens
Echo with songs of tortured banshees

Wrapped in spider webs
The scent of earthy decay
She bleed her love upon
Death’s door masquerade
Not dead but dreaming
When the river bears the dead
Place thy hands on the stone
Where tragedy has wed

Cold spirits ride upon the thunder
Wicked wights heralding with hunger
Made of leather of dead endeavors
Search for meat morsels of another

I found the meaning of life
In the graveyard
I sought the birth of death
In the graveyard

Who dareth to witness
The spawn of Hell’s own son?
I held her still beating heart
The beast, a servant to none

Lay bare on altars of sacrifice
Welcome you to my own paradise
When the gallows swing in the shadows
I spit your name from tongues, cursed thrice

With eternity
Upon the side of the damned
Heaven remains devoid
Of innocent lambs
Succumb to darkness
Within shadows of today
Walk among the fell at
Death’s door masquerade

I found the meaning of life
In the graveyard
I sought the birth of death
In the graveyard

Who dareth to witness
The spawn of Hell’s own son?
I held her still beating heart
The beast, a servant to none

Leave none but faith left standing
When wraiths rape the will of the rathe
Let she who knows the fate of gates
That swing of hinges to degrade said faith
I hold her, dearly, departed
From my heart, storms clearly
Quite severely condemned
In dreary nightmares of Bethlehem

I found the meaning of life
In the graveyard
I sought the birth of death
In the graveyard

Who dareth to witness
The spawn of Hell’s own son?
I held her still beating heart
The beast, a servant to none
