Year Long Love
Would you care if I died?
Then why do you constantly push me to suicide?
The fierce words from the blade of your tongue,
They pierce my heart and make me feel I don't belong.
Has it ever occurred to you,
That maybe I have feelings too?
The dark shroud that surrounds your heart,
It pushed me away as we fell apart.
You blame me for our terrible past,
Even though I told you that we'd never last.
Through faith and hope we continued to try,
Right up until we said our last goodbye...

Aw :( Verbal/emotional abuse is very serious. I think all people from a young age, should be better taught about it. Nice write. Thank you for sharing.

This reads of selfishness from your lover's part, in his inability to understand your feelings Love will never last as long as one person feels like this; putting themselves first.
