Covetousness

integrity struggles with baubles of Sodom and Gomorrah
leering looks difficult to hold within
daughter next door, her daddy your best friend
movie star blonde, forever deep blue eyes
overwhelm and impress when you are near
newly forming breasts summon attention

shake like a leaf
life is too brief

countless years span between unsullied teen
and the sexual perversion eyes of her neighbor
lust teaser she, trying out training bra
too short cutoff jeans
bare midriff
bubble gum chewing Lolita soon-to-be

in dreams of lust
what's wrong feels just

since that day she licked her lips
in your direction
smiled the smile sending you over the edge
you have been out of sync with moral commandments
a yearning, depraved and needful hankering
hitched a ride on your debauchery side

the dream is real
feels like a heel

inner working of man's sexual nature
normally kept sternly under restraint
wild animals we proudly declare we are not
still . . . fleshy, carnal sin will come into play
when late at night, through her window, she bared a sculptured
bare hip like pink marble in the light

you flinch inside
values collide

before turning out the lights
the window she opened, gave you that smile
presenting ancient, flawless bait
the defiling then commenced
her dad, your friend, beyond her thin wall
no holding back, self-centered covetousness hard at work

like drug's first high
so good you cry

uncovered testosterone thought to be dead
her face, a movement of her arm, hair blowing in wind
uncontrollable heat streaked throughout your loins
heights of passion when hidden in darkness with her
lows of depression about wife, family
makes for a long, sizzling hot summer

wars have been fought
less than she's got

a good pupil she, found sex her forte
you pulled the veil off Dracula's daughter
do as she said, or she'd tell
though you tried mightily, she became weary
went for juicer, fresher meat
involuntary, your hands embraced her pretty, creamy throat

in cell alone
you can't atone
